Your role at St John of God Mount Lawley Hospital
Provide clerical and reception duties and maintain patient records at ward level. Provide a high standard of reception service to a broad range of customers.
The role is offered on a casual basis.
- _ 07:30 to 15:30_
- _ 07:00 to 15:00_
- _ 08:30 to 14:30_
- _ 14:30 to 20:30_
The Position- Provides a reception service for the ward, presenting courteous professional approach to patients, visitors, doctors and other staff.- Maintain a high standard of communication at all times, using appropriate tone and style.- Liaise with nursing and medical staff. Process enquiries and arranges appointments with other departments or external organisations as required.- Orientates new and relief clerks to the clerical requirements of the ward.- Maintain patient movements in the computerised patient Information System as they occur.- Provides a clerical service to the department, including maintenance of departmental statistics, registers and filing systems.- Liaise with after-hours manager in conjunction with Nurse Manager regarding bed availability.- Maintain stationery supplies- Maintain accurate and complete patient records as per the Medical record Guidelines.
To succeed you will have good interpersonal skills and a high level of oral and written communication. You have the ability to prioritise and coordinate work flow to achieve an efficient and effective clerical support service. In addition, you will have a demonstrated ability to liaise with the public, patients and all levels of staff.

We can offer you- Casual Rate: $42 to $45.33 per hour (incl. 25% loading) plus 11.5% superannuation- Casual positions working across various shifts- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
