**How will I help?**

As our KYC Specialist, you will be the frontline of service for the 3 rd party broker Equipment Finance segments for Westpac and Capital Finance Australia and is responsible for the execution of customer due diligence that the Bank must perform to identify their customers.

Working in collaboration with various teams, this role is essential to the Bank fulfilling its legal obligations to help prevent, detect, and report money laundering and terrorism financing in the jurisdiction we work in. Fulfilling this obligation helps us protect our customers, communities, and people against financial crime.

You will also be responsible for:

- Providing superior day to day support to internal customers and brokers with primary responsibility for resolution of service requests to identify organisational entities.
- Fulfilling customer service need by providing unmatched service
- Keeping up to date on all relevant regulatory and policy changes
- In keeping with our Service Promise approach, effectively handle, escalate and follow-up customer compliments, issues, and complaints, using judgement to resolve customer concerns on the spot
- Actively providing brokers appropriate specialist advice to meet their needs
- Building and maintaining high quality relationships with Internal customers and brokers through the provision of service and appropriate advice
- Challenging the status quo to ensure that service has been provided in the most efficient and effective manner leveraging the best solutions offered by the business to customers
- Providing feedback to team lead to develop better solutions and more efficient processes to support the provision of superior service
- Building and maintaining key business relationships (internal and external) to ensure effective partnering
- Sharing knowledge and experience to empower your colleagues to build sound and productive operating rhythms
- Undertaking remediation work as required

**What do I need?**
- You will be a self-starter, able to work self sufficiently
- 3+ years banking experience
- Extensive knowledge of AML, KYC & IDV banking processes end to end as well as the individual functions throughout the process.
- Understanding of continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
- Understanding of Business support systems and tools
- Ability to contribute to continuous improvement activities including root cause analysis and post implementation reviews.
- Ability to play a mentoring relationship for the wider team
- Capability to facilitate and foster stakeholder relationships
- Power to exercise governance and best practise
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
- Desire to be constantly challenged and develop new knowledge
