Your opportunity:
The Corporate and Finance Group have an exciting new role available for an experienced Supplier Risk and Compliance Specialist to join their team. The Corporate and Finance Group contributes to Urban Utilities’ purpose and vision through championing, safeguarding, and driving customer, community and shareholder value.

The Procurement & Supply Chain Team partners with our stakeholders to shape, create, and protect value by leading the planning and delivery of sustainable, integrated supply solutions. Our key services include category and strategy planning, sourcing, procure-to-pay, logistics, contract management, and supplier relationship management. We are dedicated to ensuring efficient, effective, and responsible procurement and supply chain operations that drive long-term success and sustainability.

The Supplier Risk and Compliance Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the ongoing enterprise-wide supplier due diligence, compliance and assurance program for Urban Utilities to mitigate risk, drive innovation and meet legislative and sustainability requirements.

Role responsibility extends beyond supplier risk, compliance and assurance to include identifying areas for improvement within business processes and driving initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and optimise sustainability across all Procurement and Supply Chain activity. By proactively identifying opportunities for optimisation and innovation, the Procurement and Supply Chain Supplier Risk and Compliance Specialist will continuously enhance Urban Utilities Risk management maturity in relation to third
- and fourth-party suppliers and supply chains.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.- 3-5 years experience in procurement and supply chain, procurement governance and compliance.- Relevant experience in managing a third-party supplier risk and assurance program within a centre-led procurement function.- Proven experience in developing and implementing supplier due diligence processes and technology on an enterprise-wide scale.- Proficiency using business systems including ERP, Source to Pay systems and the Microsoft Suite (incl. Word, Excel & PowerPoint).- Proven experience in maturing procurement governance, including policy, procedure and framework drafting within a category management environment.- Demonstrable experience in developing and executing appropriate stakeholder strategies, supplier sustainability, and ESG considerations and reporting.- Proven experience managing supplier risk and assurance programs within a regulated environment (SOCI, modern slavery, health and safety and financial risks within the supply chain).- Implementation of process improvements, leveraging metrics for innovation and technology integration.- Extensive experience of managing large groups of internal and external stakeholders.- Experience of working with external suppliers and managing external audit and compliance
