The Modelling and Optimisation Analyst will be a valued member of the BDA Product Support Training and Maintenance Capability. This position will work closely with various program team to develop, create and maintain models to enable informed decision support.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create models to support informed decision making within complex support system environments, ability to produce clear recommendations for achievement of supportability requirements.
- Formulates recommendations for support resources and levels.
- Assesses lifecycle cost impacts, design changes and design influence factors that affect supportability of the product or service
- Performing support systems analysis for design changes and upgrades and developing products and services to support the system through-life.
- Contribute to problem solving and opportunity improvement initiatives being led by the ACEA Modelling and Simulation team Lead
Experience/Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and validation of large and complex data sets
- Experience using coding languages (VBA, python, C# or similar) and/or database query languages (e.g. SQL)
- Experience in creating model-based solutions is desirable but not essential
- Experience in fleet planning and support, support system analysis, and/or other associated logistics engineering standards would be advantageous.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security and International Traffic of Arms (ITAR) requirements.
