**About us**

As part of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce of Industry (VCCI) network of brands, Apprenticeship Support Australia has been contracted by the Australian Government to deliver a suite of apprenticeship and traineeship services through the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) across Australia to employers and individuals from pre-commencements through to completion of an apprenticeship/traineeship.

**About the role**

The Career Advisor will provide individualised, targeted pre-commencement advice to potential apprentices and employers of apprentices, to find the ‘right fit’ through testing, streaming and matching services with the aim of streaming potential apprentices into a pathway that coincides with their interests and matches them to a suitable apprenticeship/traineeship. The Career advisor will also attend and present at career expo’s, schools, and TAFE institutions.

**About you**

This position is well suited to an organised individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have:

- Relevant qualification is preferred however consideration will be given to experience and other qualifications.
- Strong understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship System and VET sector.
- Ability to provide quality career advice and information.
- Strong communication, liaison, and networking capabilities.
- Proficient skills in MS Office, and the ability to use external computer-based databases.
