One Data Science Lead position with a Government Department for an initial 12-month contract + 2 x 6-months

You will be working with a Government Department as a Data Science/Modelling Lead in the Data Delivery and Technology Unit.

**Your new role**

As a Data Science/Modelling Lead, you will be responsible for consolidating and developing models (including benefit models) across the sections that are stable for BAU/ongoing purposes. Creating capability uplift created within the section to be able to run and own the models on an ongoing basis. Additionally, ensuring/augmenting work delivered by external consultancies to fit into BAU processes.

Key to the role is demonstrated expertise and sound experience in modelling methodologies applied to complex initiatives and programs.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered, you will need:

- Modelling Methodologies
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or data scientist.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated capability of communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant health, behavioural insights, business or analytics discipline with associated experience

You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.

In return you will secure a competitive hourly rate with an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 6-month extension option.
