New Product Development Specialist

We’re on the lookout for an **energetic, solutions-focused and creatively charged New Product Development (NPD) Specialist** to join our small but high-performing team. You'll help drive the creation and commercialisation of next-generation wellness products for some of Australia’s biggest fitness, health and lifestyle brands.

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the end-to-end development of new supplement and functional food products
- Collaborate with clients to understand brand goals and develop concepts that align
- Research and identify ingredients, flavours and functional actives that meet regulatory and performance standards
- Formulate and trial new products, including benchtop samples, pilot runs and scale-up
- Manage documentation, technical specs, costings, and regulatory compliance throughout the development cycle
- Liaise with procurement and manufacturing teams to align on feasibility, timelines and raw material availability
- Stay ahead of trends in health, wellness, fitness, ingredients and consumer demand
- Solve problems on the fly, from flavour challenges to ingredient substitutions
- Support continuous improvement of existing formulations and internal NPD processes
- Work closely with a tight-knit team of passionate professionals who love what they do

**About You**

You’re more than just technically capable—you’re passionate, energetic and love creating real solutions that hit the mark for brands and consumers alike. You’re proactive, curious, and thrive on the buzz of developing something new.

**You’ll bring**:

- A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Naturopathy, Product Development or similar
- 2-5+ years’ experience in NPD within supplements, sports nutrition, wellness or functional foods
- Strong understanding of ingredients, nutrition panels, and labelling requirements
- A creative but commercially aware mindset—you understand what works in the market
- Excellent project coordination and communication skills
- A hands-on, can-do approach—you’re comfortable in the lab, on the floor, or in front of a client
- The ability to juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball
- A team spirit—collaboration is part of your DNA

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
