**Location: Bega or Batemans Bay**
**Part-time, **35-hour fortnight**
**Grade 7/8 - $106,025 - $117,363 (pro-rata) **p.a. **+ superannuation and annual leave loading**
**Flexible work practices including work from home or work from other location, flexible working hours and flex leave**

**Your role**

The Pregnancy Family Conferencing Coordinator (PFC Coordinator) is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the program across Southern NSW and undertaking case coordination activities.

You will work closely with both internal and external PFC partners, DCJ prenatal caseworkers and local NSW Health PFC coordinators to provide support in matching the best facilitators based on family needs. This involves assigning & coordinating families who participate in the program whilst also developing strong interagency relationships and supporting the ongoing development of the program.

Hybrid working conditions will be supported.

**What you’ll do**

As part a of your role as PFC Coordinator you will:

- Build and sustain a partnership and agreed work processes with the NSW Health PFC Coordinator.
- Receive, assess and allocate referrals to the program in collaboration with DCJ Prenatal Caseworkers, other Community Service Centre (CSC) staff (for example, Casework Managers, Specialists and Manager Client Services) and/or other appropriate District forums.
- Work with PFC Facilitators, the NSW Health PFC Coordinator, CSC and Health staff, representatives of community, and other government and non-government agencies to organise meetings in which families feel safe and supported to participate.
- Build partnerships with and between local/District services and relevant Health services to facilitate referrals and involvement in PFC meetings.
- Identify and manage any pathway or systems issues that require improvement, to contribute to the success of the PFC program.
- Collect and maintain required data on the PFC program and, where appropriate, contribute to its evaluation and improvement.
- Prepare written project reports, proposals, submissions, briefs and other documents as relevant.
- Represent DCJ and the PFC program at internal meetings, interagency networks, committees, working groups and other forums, and raise awareness about the program.
- Participate in relevant professional development, regular supervision and performance appraisals.

**What we’re looking for**
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of child protection systems.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Proven ability to lead, initiate innovative problem solving, and work collaboratively with other internal staff and professionals across agencies.
- Demonstrated high level written & verbal communication skills, including experience engaging with Aboriginal families, communities and stakeholders, and report writing skills.

**Essential requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, social science or related field, or extensive experience working with families with complex needs.
- Valid NSW drivers licence (P1 and above) and a willingness to travel where required.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
