We are proudly supporting The Newcastle Art Gallery Foundation (NAGF) to assist with finding a Philanthropy Officer to join their team on a part-time (up to 20 hours a week), initial 12-month contract, as they enter the second stage of their expansion project.

NAGF is a not-for-profit charity and independent organisation and the major fundraiser for Newcastle Art Gallery contributing millions of dollars to boost the Newcastle’s community’s art collection since it was formed in 1978.

**You’ll be responsible for**:

- Developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet revenue targets, maintaining a donor pipeline, and converting donors
- Ensuring effective donor communication, managing major donor recognition program, and delivering engagement opportunities for members and donors
- Creating Foundation collateral and social media content and managing the Foundation website
- Managing fundraising budgets in collaboration with the membership and development committee
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
- Representing NAGF at events and in the community

**Essentially you’ll have**:

- 5 years’ experience in a fundraising, marketing and/or relationship building position
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to develop high quality written materials and relate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Passion for Arts and Culture and its contribution to society
- Confident with navigating software, prior experience using websites (Word Press), Mailchip and systems such as Sharepoint and Salesforce an advantage
