**About the Role**

We are seeking a **Promotions Officer** to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the public image of _Ability Circle_, ensuring our message reaches the community and stakeholders. You will lead promotional campaigns, manage media relations, and plan events that promote goodwill and foster positive publicity.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and organise publicity campaigns and communication strategies.
- Advise executives on public relations and promotional implications of policies and programs.
- Prepare and distribute press releases and promotional materials.
- Commission public opinion research and integrate findings into campaigns.
- Organise special events, competitions, and community functions.
- Represent _Ability Circle_ at social, business, and media events.
- Coordinate with photographers, designers, and other media personnel to create impactful content.

**About You**

You are an experienced professional with a passion for promoting meaningful causes. Your creativity and organisational skills will be key in managing a diverse portfolio of promotional activities.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Proven experience in promotions, marketing, or public relations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the disability or healthcare sector (desirable but not essential).
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working with internal teams and external stakeholders.

**Your Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field. A masters qualification will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years previous experience in planning and executing promotional campaigns.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for media releases and content.
- Event planning and public speaking experience are highly regarded.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in a similar setting would be an advantage.
- Fluency in speaking Sinhala will be an advantage

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
