Japan Foods Trading Pty. Ltd. is one of Australia’s oldest and largest Japanese food importers and distributors. Our Tasmania branch, **JFT Tasmania**, is seeking a **Casual Warehouse Staff** member to join our friendly team.

**About the Role**:
**As a Warehouse Staff member, your main responsibilities will include**:

- Picking and packing a variety of Japanese food products
- Assisting with deliveries across Tasmania (City, North, and South)
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Supporting other warehouse tasks as required
- Please note:_ This role involves **heavy lifting** and working in **freezer conditions**.

**What We Offer**:

- **Weekdays only**: Monday to Friday (weekends and public holidays off)
- **Flexible hours**: Start as early as 6:30 AM and finish by 2:30 PM
- **Weekly hours**: 20-30 hours per week (depending on workload and staff leave)
- **Supportive environment**: Work with a friendly, encouraging team
- Depending on performance and potential, there may be a chance to move to part-time in the future.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Driver’s license**: Valid Australian full license with a clean driving record
- **Forklift license**: A plus, but not mandatory
- **Learning ability**: Quick to learn new tasks
- **Driving experience**: Experience driving a van or delivery vehicle is advantageous; 2-3 years of driving experience is a bonus
- **Physical fitness**: Able to lift and carry heavy items
- **Efficiency**: Strong time management and organizational skills
- **Interpersonal skills**: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- **Cultural knowledge**: Familiarity with Japanese food and culture is an advantage
- **Work eligibility**: Full working rights in Australia (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or visa with unlimited work rights)
