**Overview of role**:
We are looking for confident, enthusiastic and bubbly people to join our team, and run amazing incursions, and after-school science programs for kids at primary schools around Melbourne.

As a Fizz Kidz After School Program Facilitator, you will be engaging, and inspiring the next generation to be excited about science. You will also have the opportunity to work with the same students every week, and help them grow, and step out of their comfort zones.

You will be in charge of the whole show, from signing kids in and running games, to facilitating science experiments, and cleaning up afterwards.

**Required Skills**:

- Demonstrate high levels of energy and enthusiasm working with children
- **Confidence **managing a group of children
- Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and professionally with parents and staff at schools
- A basic understanding of key scientific concepts (E.g. States of Matter)
- Ability to turn a sometimes "boring" topic into something FUN, exciting and engaging through interacting with children and playing games
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, think and problem solve on the spot
- **Must have driver's license**

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging, and entertaining science programs for kids of varying ages
- Connect with kids in a friendly, child-like (and sometimes silly and messy) manner
- Work independently, efficiently, and creatively
- Keep track of time and adapt as required
- Implement and oversee safety precautions
- Adhere to guidelines on working in a school environment
- Clean up after the session is over

It is essential that you enjoy working with children. Experience or interest in primary school education, or entertainment/performance is very favourable.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

- Melbourne, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
