***About the role**
**Woollahra Council seeks a highly qualified and experienced Manager with a solid understanding of Council’s obligations under the Local Government Act with regard to meetings, probity, delegations, risk management, and statutory reporting.
**You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the Governance and Risk Department, promote collaboration amongst staff and ensure the delivery of high quality services and customer experience.
**You will lead the successful delivery of corporate governance, including internal audit, risk management, corporate policies and procedure development, corporate registers, access to information, insurance policies and claims, Committee, Council, Panel Meetings and Councillor Support.

**Your extensive knowledge of industry best practice and your ability to monitor framework around Local Government operations and understand the implications of changing legislation will be highly valued.
