**About the role**
- Working side by side with the Liquor Merchandise Strategy Transformation team to deliver the medium & long initiatives to drive profitable long-term sales growth:

- Driving the annual Joint Business Plan process with Top suppliers ensuring aligned objectives to drive profitable growth, simplified income/ways of working and optimise working capital
- Working closely with the Range and Space team by generating insights and recommendations for a number of initiatives to optimise range and space in stores. This will drive improved sales and profitability, through advanced modelling and analysis of financial and non-financial data
- Ensure plan in play to drive strategy on ELB and Local, with the right exit rate and supply in place to achieve the FY23 targets and beyond
- Ownership of key Merchandise IT initiatives that deliver improved processes and efficiencies
- Financial governance and performance reporting including:

- Tracking key initiatives to ensure they are on target to delivered expected outcome
- Support reviews of supplier performance for Quarterly Business Reviews and supplier engagement at executive level
- Influence business decision making with fact based insightful and innovative analysis
- Identify and define process and/or system improvements to enhance ability to deliver on objectives

**You will also**
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive results - particularly with non-direct reports and those in different business functions
- Skilled PowerPoint user, able to build compelling presentations which communicate complex financial messages into a clear story for senior, non-financial audiences. Often within quick timeframe.
- Proficient Excel user with excellent data manipulation and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, with proven ability to educate financial and non-financial stakeholders on the key drivers of performance; and
- Interpret, challenge and clarify ad-hoc requests by determining the key questions that need to be answered and appropriate format and priority of response
- Confident user of data systems to extract and manipulate data highly efficiently

**Skills & Experience desired**
- CPA/CA qualified with 5+ years PQE
- FMCG or Retail experience. eCommerce experience preferrable
- Business / Customer Insights
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent PowerPoint and storytelling skills
- TM1 experience preferable but not essential
