**Eligibility
- To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health and Aged Care

**Division Responsibilities
The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) was established in December 2011 as

part of the National Health Reform agenda. IHPA is independent of Commonwealth, state

and territory governments and is governed by its Board, the Pricing Authority. IHPA’s

mission is to promote improved efficiency in, and access to, public hospital services through

setting the national efficient price of those services in partnership with all Australian

governments, with the aim to improve health outcomes for all Australians. As IHPA's

functions expand to include providing advice on aged care pricing matters in the response to

the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, this role will require a stakeholder
- driven mindset and technologically-savvy professional to manage the delivery high-quality

motivated team that is driven by delivering creative communication campaigns with a

strong understanding of the user journey and an interest in digital transformation to

support comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Aged Care Policy and Communications Branch is responsible for leading the

development of the policies that will underpin the provision of aged care pricing advice, and

leading IHPAs communication activities in relation to both public hospitals and aged care.

**Section Responsibilities
The Communications team manages all aspects of both internal and external

communication. This includes the release of public documents, management of the website

and intranet, media, social media and the delivery of educational programs including a

biennial conference, digital learning and events. In addition, the Communications team

provides support to other sections within the agency to deliver projects relating to IHPA’s

work program that drive strategic improvements in the IHPA’s corporate objectives and

executive services to the Chief Executive Officer.

**Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Managing the IHPA website (Drupal) and conference website (DatoCMS), with the

ability to drive improvements in user experience, navigation, automation and

architecture of content.
- Monitoring, reporting and evaluating the performance of digital campaigns,

including analysis and commentary on traffic, conversion, user behaviour and lead

generation via Google Analytics to inform future campaigns.
- Developing digital marketing campaigns for the release of the agency’s publications,

digital learning programs and events, for the inclusion in internal and external

communications plans and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Managing IHPA’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud)

based on a comprehensive content calendar.
- Supporting the Communications Coordinator to deliver relevant and engaging

content across internal and external digital media platforms, including the ability and

interest to identify opportunities and leverage market insights.
- Advising on the development of creative briefs for the production of marketing

collateral such as graphics, fact sheets, infographics, signage, videos and

strategies with the simplification of complex information through data visualisation.
