VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced child care worker to join our clients' restaurant in Maroubra. Our client Montessori Works, is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills.

**Responsible for**:
Provide a nurturing environment that fosters independence, curiosity, and a love for learning in young children. This role involves assisting in daily activities, ensuring child safety, and supporting the lead Montessori teacher in implementing the Montessori philosophy.

**Key Duties**:

- Support the setup and organization of materials and resources for learning and play-based activities.
- Assist in guiding children's social skills and promoting positive behaviour through patience and encouragement.
- Plan and lead creative, educational, and recreational activities tailored to children's interests and developmental needs.
- Engage children through storytelling, imaginative play, games, and other fun interactions.
- Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help manage the daily schedules and routines, including meals, naps, and structured activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and promote hygiene practices among children, including hand washing, toileting, and personal care.

**Qualification & Skills**:

- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
- Montessori training or experience in a Montessori setting is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with young children in a child care or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and the Montessori philosophy.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for fostering young children's growth.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to observe, assess, and document children's progress.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass background checks and meet all state/federal licensing requirements.

**Work Environment**:

- Indoor and outdoor environment with active engagement with children.
- Physically demanding, including lifting children, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor activities.

**Remuneration**:
**$70,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation**
