About the RoleAs the Deputy Principal, you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Lead and manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources underpinning a range of areas including inclusion and support services at Springfield Central SHS.
- Display high quality leadership that directly influences the engagement, improvement, achievement and wellbeing of staff and students.
- Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Deliver operational requirements within the school.
- Assume the leadership of a secondary school student cohort developing relationships between staff, students and parents in order to support the engagement of all students and to promote positive learning outcomes.
- Empowering every student to experience academic success through inclusive practices that enable access, participation purposeful engagement and yearly growth in learning.
- Develop the capability of teachers and leaders within the school community that has a focus on being collaborative and strategic.
