Overview

Springfield Central State School is seeking a highly motivated leader to join our team as Deputy Principal. In this pivotal role, you will work to improve educational outcomes, develop the quality of teaching and learning, and foster positive relationships between students, staff, families, and the community.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Lead the prep cohort and progress the Early Years Reading Inquiry within a large, highly motivated leadership team dedicated to being precise and inspirational.

About The Role

As the Deputy Principal, key delegated responsibilities include leading the prep cohort and progressing the Early Years Reading Inquiry. You will work in a large, highly motivated leadership team dedicated to being precise and inspirational. Your leadership will help improve student outcomes, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and foster positive relationships among students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders.

Requirements and How to Apply
  • Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should be familiar with your relevant work history).
  • Attach a written statement (2-page maximum) addressing how you would approach the key delegated responsibilities of leading the prep cohort and progressing the Early Years Reading Inquiry, and how you would work within a large, highly motivated leadership team.
  • Attach a copy of the mandatory requirements outlined in the attached role description.
