**Position Overview**
Working within the Occupational Therapy team, you will be supporting adult clients to achieve daily living goals in their home and local community. OT services predominantly involve home based assessment of client’s occupational function, identification of client goals, and delivery and coordination of services, such as home modifications, education, trialling and fitting of assistive technology and stakeholder liaison, to assist clients in achieving their identified goals.
This role includes a mix of client-facing and administrative work, and would suit someone who has an interest in working in Occupational Therapy and holds (or is working towards) a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance.
**Key deliverables of this role include;**
- Provide high quality, person centred care to support clients through their OT journey
- Work collaboratively with the OT team and other staff within Allied Health to assist clients with achieving their goals
- Provide customer service and support to new OT clients and their carers
- Deliver delegated care including: education, equipment set-up and trials, and facilitation of home modifications
- Ensure accurate and appropriate documentation of client information, activity and data.
**About You/Skills and Experience**:
- Previous customer/client service experience and skills are essential; experience in person centred care is also desirable.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, to effectively liaise with families, carers and other professionals.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, including the the ability to work autonomously and manage a busy workload.
- Strong computer literacy skills
- MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Electronic Health Records
- Current Victorian Driver licence.
- Cert III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent), or working towards.
