**About the Role**:
The role would be full time working **7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday -Thursday) and 7:00am - 1:30pm Fridays.**

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
- Working closely with Product Development Lead and Head Designer to create bespoke patterns for existing and new Grace Loves Lace designs utilising CAD system software
- Working closely with the Product Development lead to cut and sew development samples and mock up
- Active involvement in development fittings as required from 1st samples through to production, recording accurate measurements, photos and fit notes
- Preparation & pack down of all fit sessions and collection meetings including garment preparation
- On receipt of feedback look for ways to alter and amend patterns to improve production and consumer outcomes
- Identifying and alerting design and production teams of potential production, quality and costing issues and making recommendations to ensure brand integrity is maintained
- Digitising lace and motif placement on to pattern to provide external and internal factories a detailed guide to follow
- Grading of patterns to meet the size ranges specific to GLL standards including technical grading of lace/motif placement, scallop edge positioning, pleats and gathers within Style CAD to meet the size ranges specific to GLL standards
- Creating and updating of technical specifications including design, construction and technical notes; accurate usages, size range measurements, and advising initial QC check points
- Assisting in the transition of apparel styles from design concepts/first prototype to a final, production-ready sample offering solutions to correct fit and construction details for challenging styles
- Analysing garments to determine compliance of spec, construction, fit and design intent
- Continually research competition in the market for various construction techniques, new technology and fit
- Diligently use consistent naming conventions and file safety and security measures when saving digital patterns to One Drive
- Management of physical Development Samples including labelling samples and maintaining a structured movement/requisition register and archive/recycling of samples
- Ensuring physical Development Samples are maintained in shoot-ready condition which may include arranging cleaning post-photoshoot if required
- Attending and assisting in the photoshoot process as required
- Providing training and support to the production teams on the manufacturing process, ensuring accurate implementation of tech pack data
- Observing and advising of any inconsistencies in technical sampling including stretch, scale and pattern
- Providing technical notes and tips for stylists to follow in showrooms
- Ad hoc duties and production duties as required by management

**Essential Experience Required**:

- 5 years' minimum experience working in a similar role
- High level of proficiency in digital pattern making and grading utilising Style CAD
- Strong technical background and sound understanding of garment construction, pattern making and grading
- Construction knowledge & experience with lingerie, lace, swim and stretch fabrics
- Developed understanding of quality standards and legal labelling requirements for our global distribution
- Strong fitting and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail & consistency
- Strong time management and ability to follow processes
- Team player with a collaborative approach
- Confident decision maker, organised, methodical and accurate

- Sound Computer literacy including naming and saving of files in One Drive
- Software proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Netsuite or similar.
