**About the role**:
The Principal Integrity Adviser plays a critical role in leading the department's integrity related functions. The position will lead and oversee investigations into integrity breaches, lead fraud and corruption risk management activities, and lead capability building in integrity and ethical conduct. The Principal Integrity Adviser will oversee responses to incidents of fraud and corruption, including those in portfolio entities and health services.

**About you**:

- A strong background in integrity related functions, risk management, investigations and the provision of legal, and/or policy advice to government.
- A qualification in law, public policy, government investigations or other related field would be highly regarded.
- Ability to lead and oversee integrity investigations, ensuring investigations are well planned, documented, evidenced and comply with relevant policies and integrity legislation.
- Ability to review and assess evidence within a civil framework (balance of probabilities) and with consideration of subsequent processes and intended audiences, such as misconduct proceedings or notification to external bodies such as Victoria Police or IBAC.
