**Hiring: Experienced Disability Support Worker - Northside Brisbane**
(Part-time/Casual | Immediate Start | Small Supportive Team)

We are seeking a **compassionate, experienced, and resilient Disability Support Worker** to support an energetic 18-year-old participant living with ASD and an intellectual disability.

This role requires someone confident in managing **challenging behaviours**, with the ability to **remain calm under pressure**, **de-escalate crisis situations**, and foster independence in a positive, safe environment.

**About the Role**:

- Hours:

- Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Thursday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am - 2:30pm
- _(Some flexibility with days can be negotiated.)_
- Duties:

- Supporting independent living skills and daily activities
- Managing behaviours of concern using proactive strategies
- Community access and appointment support
- Building trust, skills, and confidence**Essential Requirements**:

- Proven experience working with individuals with ASD and intellectual disabilities
- Strong skills in managing challenging behaviours and de-escalating crises
- Calm, flexible, and patient nature
- High reliability and commitment to participant-centred care
- Current Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid driver's license and reliable insured vehicle
- First Aid & CPR certificate
- Relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services or similar (highly regarded)

- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
- Retention bonus
