**ABOUT**:
As a Forklift Driver at our cold storage facility, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient movement of goods, materials, and products within the site. Operating a forklift in a temperature-controlled environment requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading items, transporting materials, and ensuring that products are handled with care and accuracy in compliance with cold storage protocols.
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN OUR UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT
You will be working in either a chiller environment with temperature 2 degrees or a freezer environment with temperature -24 degrees.. The cold environment keeps the products delicious and fresh for a great consumer experience.
EMBRACE YOUR ROLE
Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, products, and supplies within the cold storage facility, following established schedules and priorities.
Safely operate forklifts in tight spaces and around obstacles while maintaining a strong focus on safety and avoiding damage to products or equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe driving practices.
Inspect and perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Safely load and unload items onto and off of tugger vehicles, using RF scanning to validate the correct items and quantities.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and contamination.
Participate in training sessions related to cold storage operations, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved, quantities transported, and destinations reached using designated systems or forms.
YOUR SKILLS AND JOURNEY
Previous experience in cold storage environment is mandatory
Prior experience as a forklift driver is preferred.
Ability to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures below freezing.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and recording information.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as required.
