**Trade Assistant-Sheet Metal Workshop**

The Trade Assistant position offers an excellent opportunity to join an expanding family owned and operated company that you can be proud to be a part of. Our company specializes in the manufacture, supply & distribution of high-quality, steel, stainless steel and aluminium industrial products.

This role offers a varied, interesting and satisfying workday with the opportunity to learn and operate specialised fabricating machinery. You will be assisting with the assembly of component parts of our finished products, as well as the day-to-day operation of a workshop. Opportunities for advancement and future training are always available.

As You will play an essential part of supplying a quality Australian made product, attention to detail is essential along with pride in your work. Being a part of a small team, you will need to be able to work with others in a supportive environment and have a safety-first approach to everyday.

**Key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to**:

- Pressbrake operation, folding sheet metal parts
- Assembly of components/panels.
- Receive and dispatch incoming and outgoing freight.
- Picking up orders from suppliers.
- Monitoring stock levels of frequently used materials, ensuring they are stored in an organised fashion.
- Keeping the workshop tidy.
- Picking parts for job tubs,

**Essential Criteria**:

- Current Manual Drivers licence and a reliable means for transport as we are not located on a public transport route.
- A willingness to learn and work with others to produce high quality products
- Possess high attention to detail.
- Be able to work in a team environment.
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have a safety-first approach to their job.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular on site fit for work drug and alcohol testing.
- Australian Work Visa, Australian Residency

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Forklift licence is an advantage
- Previous experience in a Trade Assistant Role an advantage
- Experience with CNC Machinery
- Able to read and follow technical drawings

**Salary**: Dependent upon experience, $26.63 - $30 per hour

Pay: $26.63 - $30.00 per hour
