Southern Adelaide Local Health network are looking for additional temporary full time or part time Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (or international equivalent) to join our team at Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Services.

As a department permanent FTE has been made available in a very reasonable time frame.

Good communication skills and commitment to ensuring the best clinical outcome for patients and families are essential.

We have a strong team of experienced emergency physicians with a supportive multidisciplinary team environment and a strong focus on teaching. FMC has an accredited Paediatric ED, there is an active Ultrasound program and Simulation, supported by SSP trainees. There is scope for further progression in geriatrics/toxicology, positive workplace culture, innovation and support.

Our Emergency Consultants provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to Emergency Department patients at Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Services, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.

Our Emergency Consultants are actively involved in teaching medical students and trainee medical officers and where appropriate Nursing and Allied Health, and participate in clinical audit and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities and research and continuous medical education activities.

Essential requirements

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent

Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist Registration, or other qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award
