North shore council seeking building performance contractor for a 6 month part time contract
**Your new company**
Situated in the North-Shore Suburbs, this local government council is seeking a Building Performance Contractor to join their team for a 6-month contract.
**Your new role**
In this role you will deliver key actions and projects from Council’s energy management and sustainable buildings strategy, to ensure continuous improvement of operational energy efficiency and asset sustainability performance; project scoping and specification of capital works targeting sustainability; provision of technical advice, resources, and guidelines for staff on sustainable assets best practice. You will be helping with the project work such as building and implementing the various projects as well as the operational work such as monitoring the finished systems.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline or substantial work experience in a similar capacity, such as environmentally sustainable design, engineering, facilities management, energy management.
- Experience using energy management and building management and control systems to optimise performance of key building services and overall building performance.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with consultants on developing the functional requirements for energy efficiency and sustainability, with regards to building management and control systems, HVAC, lighting, building envelope, hydraulic services, solar PV, and energy monitoring systems.
- Excellent project management skills including scoping, scheduling, risk and financial management.
- Working knowledge of sustainable building tools such as Green Star, NABERS, Living Building etc.
- High level communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
