Annual base salary from $106,089 to $113,697 (Level A.6 - A.8), plus 17%
superannuation and annual leave loading.

An exciting role has become available in the School of Engineering at Macquarie University. We are seeking a qualified Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a team with an international reputation for producing high quality industrially-relevant research in the area of advanced photovoltaics.

We are looking for a passionate researcher with a strong track record of optical design, simulation and characterisation, as well as good knowledge of broader solar cell production and characterisation processes.

The role will include:
- Development of optimised light management strategies using scalable fabrication technologies- Comprehensive optical modelling and characterisation- Optimisation of PV collector cell design

Essential- A PhD in materials science, photovoltaics, photonics or a closely related discipline- Expertise in optical modelling using finite element and ray tracing techniques Experience with optical and electrical characterisation- Experience with fabrication of light management structures (e.g. AR coatings, Bragg reflectors, photonics crystals)- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Commitment to teamwork and collaborative work- Ability to implement required health and safety policies and procedures- Experience with solar cell fabrication- Experience with building integrated photovoltaic technologies A track record of working with industry
