**Wests Group Macarthur **is a progressive group in Sydney's South-West, comprising licensed premises at Western Suburbs League Club Campbelltown, Country Club Gledswood Hills and Lakeside Golf Club Camden. Our clubs are home to over 400 staff, and 80,000 members across the group. We offer function 9 spaces and, packages to suit any occasion and style from cocktail parties, awards nights, corporate presentations, business luncheons, wakes and weddings. Our Lakeside Golf Club is the perfect wedding location and was awarded the Bride’s Choice Award for best wedding venue.

**The Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part Time Function & Event Coordinator to be an integral part of delivering Wests Group Macarthur’s function and event experience to our members and guests. This is a rewarding position that requires an impeccable eye for detail to plan and coordinate an incredible event from the start of the sales process through to the event day.

**Reporting to the Function & Event Manager, your responsibilities will include**:

- Provide administrative assistance to the Functions team as required
- Managing incoming leads and enquiries, including venue and function room tours
- Event follow up and managing feedback processes
- Assist in set up and packing down events and assisting operationally as required
- Ensure function spaces are maintained and function stock levels are managed
- End-to-end client management during the execution of functions
- Ensure exceptional food & beverage service is always delivered to our valued customers
- Liaising with the function and event team to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the function requirements to deliver an exceptional function
- Manage and deal with customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Continually coach new and existing function staff to ensure the highest standard is maintained
- Conduct competitor analysis to ensure WGM are relevant in the Events Market
- The ability to convert sales leads into revenue generating events
- Liaise with corporate partners and internal stakeholders
- Previous experience in functions and events sales and operations
- Experience with Event Pro or similar event software is preferred yet not essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think on your feet
- Determination to maintain high standards and exceed customer expectations
- Be able to inspire and lead your team to deliver an exceptional event
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Immaculate presentation and grooming standards
- Physical ability to set up and breakdown function room furniture as required
- Able to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment
- Proven accurate cash and transaction handling skills
- Strong computer and AV technology skills
- Ability to work a variety of shifts and flexibility with hours including mornings, nights, and weekends
- Current RSA & RCG certification and be proactive in the implementation of RSA principles
