The City’s libraries are servicing the community by providing information services, education and events.

The role of the Assistant Librarian (Weekend) is to assist in the management of the library’s weekend operations and may include assessing and developing various collections, working collaboratively to present library events and actively contributing to the marketing and promotion of the library service.

You have experience in a customer focussed environment and are able to communicate effectively with members of the public and staff. You have demonstrated skills in problem solving, time management and are able to demonstrate these skills along with your ability to use initiative. You have a passion for providing excellent customer service and for promoting library services and resources to residents.
- Relevant degree appropriate for eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Team leadership and ability to motivate staff.
- Current Working With Children Check

We are offering a gross salary of **$74,999 per annum (pro-rata)** and:

- 11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to 5%
- A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum pro rata, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
