Social Worker

Finnish Early Childhood Education (Australia) Pty Ltd is an unprecedented education group establishing services aiming to deliver Australian children a unique early childhood education by blending both Finnish and Australian early childhood education concepts together. Our curriculum is based on the Finnish education concept of holistic learning and play. 

We are currently seeking two dynamic and culturally diverse individuals to join our team as Full-time (38 weekly working hours) Social Workers. These positions are based in Melbourne, VIC. Travel to regional Victoria and interstate travel is required.

ABOUT YOU: 
- Holding a Bachelor degree in Social Work or above.
- Demonstrated at least 5 years of working experience as a social worker working with diverse cultural communities, particularly those of Asian descent.
- Proven track record in providing support to children with additional needs, including behavioural, developmental, or learning challenges.
- Training or certification in areas related to special needs education or child development is highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide culturally sensitive and inclusive support services to families from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly those from Asian communities.
- Offer support and assistance to new immigrants from Asia, helping them navigate and integrate into the Australian education system and community.
- Utilize your experience in working with children with additional needs to provide tailored support and interventions to meet their unique requirements.
- Draw upon your background in training related to children with special needs to implement effective strategies and programs for their development and inclusion.
- Proactively identify and assess children with additional needs to ensure early intervention and support, facilitating their access to appropriate services and resources.
- Collaborate with community groups to establish multicultural exchange services, enhancing the development of children through diverse cultural interactions.
- Provide emotional education to students and parents for consistent and congruent communication
- Provide counselling and guidance services to children and families in need, offering support and assistance in navigating challenges.

SALARY RANGE:
$75K - $85K per annum plus superannuation
