**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Research Assistant to join School of Biology and Environmental Science, Faculty of Science, Academic Division.

The Research Assistant contributes to the scientific, technical and operational requirements to support the delivery of government and industry-funded research projects on greenhouse gas ((GHG) emissions from agriculture. The role will be part of Sustainable Agroecosystems group consisting of academic and professional staff within the Centre for Agriculture and the Bioeconomy and School of Biology & Environmental Science. The group maintains a network of research field sites and environmental monitoring infrastructure and across regional Queensland and New South Wales. This role will require knowledge and experience in the support of field-based research in the agricultural or environmental sciences. This position reports to the Associate Professor, School of Biology and Environmental Science for supervision, workload management and for Performance Planning and Review (PPR).

**What you need to succeed**

As a strong communicator, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communicate the shared QUT Values in your approach to work.

You will demonstrate:

- Education, training and/or relevant experience in Environmental Science, Agricultural Science.
- Knowledge in the domain of the environmental and agricultural sciences.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting practical research in a laboratory environment.
- Proficient in statistical data analysis, data interpretation and summarising
- Communication and client service skills including the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
