The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Project Officer - Transformation Office to provide a critical role in Transformation, Learning and Capability.

About the business unit
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is undertaking a vast transformation agenda to ensure it can deliver on the outcomes and objectives as outlined within its Statement of Direction.
Transformation, Learning and Capability sits within People, Safety and Culture in the DJCS.
The Transformation team support and partner the business units and/or Groups across the department to identify and drive transformation initiatives using:

- organisation design and development
- change management
- business improvement methodology.

About the role
The Project Officer reports to the management team within the Transformation Office and supports the Office in the delivery of ongoing and ad-hoc projects and complex programs of work.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Provide project management support, guidance and quality assurance through the preparation of project-based documents, presentation packs, governance documentation and briefs on behalf of program or project leads (in the Transformation Office) from a variety of sources in a time-pressured environment
- Provide project administration requirements, including secretariat support for governance committee and preparation of project documentation for a range of different stakeholders
- Attend, participate and represent the Transformation Office in a range of internal and external agency committees, forums and conferences

About you

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience working in a data analysis/business process planning/human resource related field is highly desirable
- Experience in working autonomously in the delivery of high-level projects
- A good understanding of how government works, and government processes is highly desirable.
