***About the Role - Make a Real Difference Every Day**

***We are looking to welcome a**Family Support Practitioner**to manage?referrals?into?the Brisbane North?Intensive Family Support?(IFS) Service and hold a small case load.**

***:

- **Full time opportunity.**:

- **Position government funded until 31 December 2028 with possible extension.**:

- **Level 4 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $85,127 - $91,588 + Super.**

***_What you’ll do:_**

***:

- **Respond to referrals and referral enquiries in a timely,?sensitive and effective manner.?**:

- **Assess risk?of child harm?and identify support needs of families, at both initial referral and during active hold phone calls.??**:

- **Manage and maintain client?information management systems.?**:

- **Work collaboratively with colleagues, other agencies and support services and provide information about support needs and alternate referral pathways as required.?**

***What You’’ll Bring**

***:

- **A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).**:

- **At least 2 years’ experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people and children in a child protection framework.**:

- **Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.**

- **Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.**:

- **Current driver’s licence.**:

- **Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).**
