**About Our Client**:
We're seeking a Network Support Officer to work within our control rooms on a full time, 12-month fixed term basis. As a Network Support Officer you will be monitoring CCTV video and traffic to ensure that motorists in Brisbane have a smooth journey on our roads, tunnels and bridges. You will dispatch incident response vehicles to any motorists who are stranded or in need of assistance. This is an extremely rewarding role where you will make a positive difference in someone's day everyday It's meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

**Day-to-day, you will**:

- Monitor and manage traffic on open roads, bridges and in tunnels.
- Answer phone calls from motorists and stakeholders.
- Work 12 hour shifts; 2 day shifts, followed by 2 night shifts, and then 5 days off, on a rotating roster (once training is completed).
- Work from our brand new Control Room located at Kedron which offers free secure car parking on site.
- Liaise with Emergency Services as required to ensure that incidents are managed.
- Liaise with the maintenance teams regarding maintenance activities needed to assist the availability of traffic lanes or equipment.
- Ensure any hazards, debris, abandoned or stationary vehicles are promptly, and safely handled.

**This role will suit someone who loves doing a job where everyday is different and you get to help people in need on our Brisbane roads.**
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills to manage incidents and resources, while staying calm in high pressure and stressful situations.
- Confident in multi-tasking in a high speed, high volume traffic management environment whilst monitoring numerous data sources, recording information accurately whilst calmly liaising with road network users, emergency services and other groups.
- Proficient use of standard computer programs and an ability to learn new IT systems.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Available to work a 24x7 roster based on business requirements.
- Flexibility to work hours during peak workload demands as required.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations.
