**About the role**

HammondCare Respite Cottages provide guests with individualised support from our professional staff and are ideal for stays of up to 10 nights. Our guests love that these are not located in residential aged care homes.

Part of this care role also includes the evening sleepover shift as guests have an overnight break from their regular home environment. The care work you’ll be doing can include:

- Providing personal care - helping with showering and dressing
- Assisting with medication
- Undertaking specialised care according to the guest’s care plan
- Supporting with daily tasks, including a range of social activities
- Preparing daily meals

**About you**
- You are empathetic, patient, and solutions-focused
- You are open to working across three shifts including the morning, afternoon, and evening sleepover shift
- Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred but not essential
- Ideally, you'll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support or an equivalent qualification. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you
