Mount Gravatt State High School is a co-educational State Secondary school situated in the southern suburb of Mt Gravatt, located about 10 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Your Role
As a teacher of Ancient History years 11 and 12 and Junior Humanities you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following: - The implementation of the school's explicit improvement agenda that includes: - Thinking strategically and innovatively in the approach to curriculum, pedagogy and staff professional growth to ensure continuous improvement of the school's educational programs
- Implementing the Australian Curriculum Version 9 Humanities and the QCAA Ancient History syllabus
- Supporting the Learning progression for all students within a framework of equity and excellence
- Ensuring a consistent approach to pedagogy to reduce variance of impacts
- Strengthening high performance in senior outcomes
- Implementing the school's explicit improvement agenda
- Being a highly engaged member of the faculty based professional learning teams. Developing teaching strategies that respond to the literacy, numeracy and cognitive demands of the curriculum

- Implementing the Mount Gravatt High Curriculum Planning Process
