Neumann Steel is one of the most reputable family-owned and operated companies first established on the Gold Coast. We have been around for over 50 years and specialise in steel reinforcing, manufacturing and distributing reinforced steel and plastic bar chair products to the Queensland and NSW markets. Our highly integrated supply chain is supported by our experienced staff, which houses a wealth of industry knowledge.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor is responsible for delivering operational HR advice to line managers across the business and delivering on the full range of general Human Resources services and activities.
**About the role**:
- Track, control and manage all vacancies including attraction strategies, research recruiting processes to ensure we are keeping up to date with our competitors understand the market and risks
- Manage the EAP program for employees and onboarding process for all new employees
- Provide business improvements for the induction process and presentations to new employees
- Carry out termination process with exiting employees by way of conducting exit interviews as required
- Assist the HR Manager with the co-ordination of annual salary and performance reviews
- Assist with HR reporting
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
- Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes
- Communicate changes and the impact of Industrial Relations and legislative reforms
- Work with Managers to co-ordinate the negotiation of Enterprise Bargaining Agreement’s
- Partnering with line managers to review performance management, resourcing and staff management
- Provide guidance and support to managers on issues relating to employment law, industrial relations, training, recruitment, health and safety, employee grievances, counselling and warnings, and any other issues involving employees
- Research programs for upskilling/training internal staff
- Look at innovative ways to make Neumann Steel an Employer of Choice by way of introducing benefits, initiatives and other methods
- Be an advocate for gender equality in the workplace and driving equal employment opportunities for women at Neumann Steel
**About you**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or similar discipline
- A minimum of two years' experience in HR Recruitment or similar role
- Well-developed communication, presentation, facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed administration and computer skills, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and an ability to provide professional support and advice to employees and managers.
- Knowledge of Payroll systems, Kronos and HRI is desirable, but not essential
