**Tasmania**, the
**Sales Account Manager - Retail Sales** is responsible for managing a portfolio of high value corporate and industrial customers within the National Electricity Market.
The Sales Account Manager - Retail Sales has responsibility for managing all aspects of account management, customer acquisition and retention along with developing mutually beneficial relationships, between customers and the Shell Energy group.
**Lead the change, from the frontline**
With honesty, integrity and respect, you will:
- Ensure operational business plans are deployed;
- Achieve acquisition and retention targets as outlined in the incumbent's annual performance agreement;
- Support Shell Energy’s, Energy Solutions Group in their acquisition and retention targets as outlined in the incumbent's annual performance agreement;
- Negotiate retail electricity agreements with customers;
- Develop and leverage strategic partnerships through superior account management with a portfolio of high value customers and prospects;
- Maintain customer account management plans including details in the customer management system;
- Monitor and control existing customer credit;
- Comply with all relevant company procedures; and
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to ERM’s safety & environmental programs, best practice and equal employment opportunity objectives.
**What you’ll bring**
Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:
- Demonstrated success in a sales environment, preferably within the electricity industry;
- Significant experience and success in account management and sales acquisition with a focus on the bottom line;
- Demonstrated high level of communication and the ability to enact high level negotiations;
- Detailed knowledge of structured products and alternative contracting considerations;
- Detailed knowledge of how the electricity market works;
- Good knowledge of Shell Energy’s service offering namely the portal, energy solutions and tariff reviews;
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver commercially sound outcomes;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- High levels of organisational, time management and problem-solving skills; and
- Willingness to travel interstate and intrastate and a flexible approach to work hours.
