Hays are proud to partner with a local organisation to find a temporary Finance Officer. The Finance Officer will play a pivotal role within the IT department, overseeing the financial model as part of the IT Organisational Transformation. This position involves close collaboration with our Finance partner to reallocate the IT budget from the current centralised cost centre model to a new model with multiple cost centres that consolidate into a central cost centre.

**Your new role**
- Assess the current IT budget and allocate budget line item expenditures across the newly established cost centres.
- Coordinate with the Finance Partner to set up and establish the new cost centres.
- Ensure seamless allocation of line items to the new cost centres.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheet models for financial analysis.
- Ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of finance registers.
- Assist with accruals, journal uploads, and forecasting.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- A tertiary education with financial experience in a large organisation, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and reporting.
- Experience coordinating and managing IT organisation-level reporting and support services.

**What you'll get in return**
- Competitive hourly rate of $50-$55 per hour + Superannuation
- 3-month initial contract with possibility of extension or permanency.

- Report directly to the CIO
