**Community Bus Driver**

**Independent Contractor (ABN Holder)**

Whitlam Leisure Centre is excited to launch a new **Community Bus Service** aimed at supporting local residents with accessible and friendly transport around the area. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from **experienced and community-minded drivers** to operate this service on a **contract-for-services basis**.

**About the Role**

As our Community Bus Driver, you will:

- Operate the community bus safely and punctually along designated local routes and schedules.
- Provide courteous and helpful service to passengers, including seniors and individuals with mobility needs.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with all road safety and transport regulations.
- Invoice Whitlam Leisure Centre for services rendered (ABN required).

**Contract Details**
- ** Engagement Type**: Independent Contractor (must hold a valid ABN)
- ** Hours**: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- ** Job share** and flexible options are available
- Application welcome from interested people with **full or partial** availability
- ** Location**: Local community routes surrounding Whitlam Leisure Centre
- ** Remuneration**: Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed with shortlisted applicants)

**Desirable Skills & Experience**
- Valid **Australian Driver’s Licence** (MR or HR preferred)
- Relevant insurances
- ** Driver Accreditation** or equivalent
- Ability to provide or obtain a valid Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain (training can be provided)
- Proven experience in **bus or passenger transport driving**:

- Strong knowledge of **road safety and traffic laws**:

- Excellent **customer service** and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- A genuine interest in supporting the local community
