Firbank is seeking a friendly and highly capable Maintenance Assistant to ensure that the high standard of appearance, presentation and performance of our school's environment is upkept. We are looking for someone who is motivated and takes pride in the work that that do, blending in seamlessly with our hard-working maintenance team.

**Total package**: $75 - 85k (including super and leave loading).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Function and event set ups
- Moving parcels, rubbish and bins
- Follow up on maintenance requests sent by staff
- Repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, vehicles and other tasks
- Regularly clean external walls of all buildings and fences
- Collect rubbish and litter
- Gutter and roof cleaning, windows and painting
- Delivery of post
- Transport equipment where required

- Willingness to perform work and lead by example
- Ability to prioritise in a busy workplace
- Adhere to deadlines
- Technological skills: our Grounds and Maintenance team operate via a virtual ticketing system.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Trade qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- Maintenance experience is preferred
- Current Working With Children Check (employee)
- Current First Aid certificate
