St Johns Park Bowling Club is a leading employer in the hospitality industry in South-Western Sydney. We are now seeking a Groundsman to join our team. You will report directly to the Greens and Landscape Supervisor. Your responsibility is to assist in our green maintenance program, care and upkeep of the surrounds and the overall presentation of clubs.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, with a strong work ethic, strong communication skills and an eye for detail.

The position will be 25-30 hours per week, including weekend work on a max term contract.
- Maintain and prepare bowling greens & surrounding areas at St Johns Park and Wallacia under the guidance of the Greens & Landscape Supervisor.
- Work closely with Supervisor to make sure the greens are always presented at their best & competition ready.
- Work in coordination with greens staff, bowls staff, as well as trade persons and apprentices.
- Application of chemicals, correct storage and recording.
- Responsible for maintaining proper WH&S.
- Assist in machinery maintenance and repair as needed.
- Maintain surfaces to different specifications as requested by Supervisor.
- Participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation equipment and drainage systems.
- Keep the surrounds of all venues up to the best possible standard and presentation.
- Prepare greens in conjunction with the Bowls Office Calendar for all events.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge in the safe and efficient operation and repair of all equipment associated with green and surrounds maintenance.
- Experience in the use of a wide range of plant and equipment specific to the industry.
- An eye for detail.
- Work closely within a team, including Bowls Staff.
- Exceptional expectations on presenting all clubs to the highest of standards.
- Drivers licence and own vehicle for transport to/from venues as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
