Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Health and Physical Education teacher with AFL specialisation on a permanent basis. Applicants ideally will have a level 2 or 3 coaching certificate in AFL and experience in coaching.
The AFL excellence program aims to create active, well rounded and connected young people who excel in AFL and are prepared to overcome challenges, achieve success and positively contribute to their community. The program provides both male and female students the opportunity to develop their skills and provide a genuine learning pathway in AFL and sports studies through schooling and beyond.
The AFL Excellence program Leader is provided with planning time to support the administration and community engagement involved in leading the AFL program in addition to their teaching duties. In this role you will oversee and facilitate the delivery of the AFL excellence program from Prep to Year 12. Additionally, you will be responsible for teaching Health and Physical education classes.

**Your role**:

- Lead and facilitate quality learning opportunities for students including, creating and delivering training programs, evaluating student performance, and providing effective feedback and guidance to support continuous improvement.
- Manage operational responsibilities of the program including organisation of events, expressions of interests, trials and opportunities for community engagement.
- Maintain and strengthen community partnerships with coaches, local AFL clubs, schools and industry partners to stay up to date with latest trends and to increase participation on and off the field as a player, umpire, coach or volunteer.
- Establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with students, families, colleagues and the wider school community.
- Promote personal growth through the development of student wellbeing, teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
- Actively participate in on going professional development.
