**The Opportunity**
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Product Durability Testing Officer in the Coated Products Evaluation team based at the Innovation Lab in Port Kembla Steelworks. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
**What Will You Do?**
In this hands-on role, you'll enjoy a mix of laboratory and outdoor work, you will support and test the accelerated and outdoor durability of our pre-painted products for accelerated and outdoor durability plus paint physical properties. You will also be responsible for:
- successfully contributing to a safe working environment
- ensuring that our accelerated weathering machines maintain calibration and are operated within defined specifications
- daily capturing of credible quality data
- ensuring compliance to our laboratory NATA accreditation

- either experience working in a similar field or a qualification in Materials Engineering, Science, Chemistry
