A full time, permanent position in the Ballarat/Sunbury/Melton/Macedon regions has become available for an experienced Gas Services and Mains Layer within our expanding crew. **Position Summary**: - Service Laying on the Ausnet Network in new and established areas - Mains Laying on the Ausnet Network in new and established areas - Spotting Excavator Operator - Hand digging around assets - Temporary Reinstatement of Footpaths, Crossovers and Roads - Driving Service Truck daily (depot - job site(s) - depot) - Monday - Friday, with potential for overtime - Excellent working conditions with a family owned and run small business **About You**: - Must have proven experience in the Gas Industry in the same, or a similar role - Physically fit and willing to get your hands dirty in a range of outdoor weather conditions - Be able to work in a team environment - Be highly self-motivated and have a great work ethic - Enjoy manual labour - Demonstrate excellent communication skills - Be comfortable working with and around critical underground infrastructure - Have a high regard for safety - Have the ability to problem-solve and identify solutions **Minimum Requirements**: - Australian Driver’s License and own/have regular access to a car - MR Truck License - White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate) - Spotters Registration Certificate - All Relevant Certificates, both Mandatory and Additional, for a “Mainlayer” and “Servicelayer” as per the Ausnet Training Matrix - Downer Induction (preferred, but not essential for employment consideration) - Ausnet Induction (preferred, but not essential for employment consideration) Must be willing to undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing if successful. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Employee mentoring program - Professional development assistance Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday Supplementary Pay: - Overtime pay Application Question(s): - Do you have all relevant certifications, both Mandatory and Additional, for a "Mainlayer" and "Servicelayer" as per the Ausnet Training Matrix? **Experience**: - Gas Services and Mains Laying: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Drivers License (preferred) Work Authorisation: - Australia (preferred)
