**People and Capability Advisor**:
At Cawthron Institute, we are passionate about creating a better future. We are looking for a positive and proactive **People and Capability Advisor** to join our small team and help us support our workforce which includes highly qualified and passionate scientists, technicians, and professional staff along with visiting academics and students from around the world.

**About the Role**:
As a member of our People and Capability team, you will play a key role in supporting people leaders and staff within your portfolio across a wide range of human resources functions. From recruitment and onboarding to learning and development, your expert advice and guidance will be valued.

You will also contribute to projects and strategic initiatives that promote engagement, wellbeing, and process improvements across the organisation alongside involvement in employment relations and supporting collective bargaining.

There will be a lot of variety however it is important to note that this role has a significant administrative component, including preparing employment documentation, maintaining HR systems, and reporting.

**What You'll Do**:

- Provide advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
- Lead or support HR initiatives and projects aligned with our strategic goals.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an HR Advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy in administrative work.
- Confidence working across functions and managing multiple priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
