Supplier Relationship Manager

With so many of Lending Services’ processes dependant on the support of third party suppliers, it’s critical we actively monitor supplier performance and ensure they’re producing optimal outcomes for customers. To support our customers when they need us most, we need to ensure our suppliers and internal stakeholders are working together to deliver services that are: consistent, safe, and as expected.

As a Supplier Relationship Manager you will lead a passionate, driven and collaborative team that takes pride in ensuring third party suppliers deliver high quality service to Lending Services, in the most cost-efficient and compliant manner.

**The role**:
This role is critical for maintaining and lifting supplier management standards for up to 8 third party suppliers, located in Australia and overseas, that provide a range of operational services for Lending Services. You will be instrumental in shaping the strategy for leveraging third party relationships to deliver maximum value for NAB customers, colleagues, regulators and shareholders.

In this role you will build close working relationships with suppliers, NAB process owners and central supporting functions like Strategic Sourcing and third party risk management. You will drive regular supplier governance forums, monitor supplier performance and NAB’s adherence to contractual agreements, track commercials and invoices against budgets, and facilitate prompt resolution to risks and issues.

**What you will bring**:

- 3rd party supplier management and governance of performance against contractual agreements
- Sound understanding of contracts and management - new arrangements, renewals & extensions, and termination
- Commercial acumen and analytical skills - being proactive at spotting opportunities for improvement and building a business case
- Ability to effectively build relationships and foster collaboration with stakeholders at various levels and across organisational boundaries
- Excellent communication, influencing, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of APRA standards for outsourcing arrangements
- People leadership - maintaining/building high performance and motivation, with high integrity and culture of collaboration
- Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of Supplier Management, Risk Management and NAB including key stakeholders, services, market and operating environment, current challenges and associated risks/obligations and pain points;
- Demonstrated professional experience in the financial services industry, preferably with knowledge in Sourcing and/or a supplier performance or relationship management/contract management/procurement position;
- Project management and reporting experience - in order to execute on supplier/ governance initiatives and provide visibility to stakeholders;
- Awareness of vendor risk management methodologies and value of innovative and collaborative supplier relationships;
- Tertiary qualified with degree in Business or Finance related disciplines is preferred.
