We are looking for a **Lifestyle and Wellbeing Assistant**(Also known as Recreational Activities Officer) to work at our 64 bed Residential Care home to assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and lifestyle programs.

- Support the goals of care for the residents in the service in partnership with each resident and/or their representative
- Identify barriers that prevent consumers from participating in meaningful and enjoyable activities
- Encourage the wellbeing and independence of residents by supporting them to engage in preferred activities and interests
- Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual's unique goals and preferences
- Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement activities
- Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver positive outcomes for residents

**About you**

- Experience working in Lifestyle/Recreational Activities teams in Aged care/Disability/Community services **desirable**
- A sound understanding of aged care and the principles guiding this sector
- General computer skills
- Australian work rights
- It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. _
