Security Technical Officer - Paying up to $44ph + Super - Located in the Eastern Suburbs - Local Council
**Your new company**
A reputable local council is looking for a Security Technical Officer to join the team. Join the team for an initial 3 month period and play a key role in helping the council achieve its vision of being an inclusive, healthy, creative, sustainable, and smart community.

**Your new role**
As our Security Technical Officer, you will be responsible for providing excellent service delivery and operation of our council's security systems, surveillance network, and security patrols. You will also support the procurement and engagement of contractors and suppliers, effectively monitoring for and actioning any potential breaches of Council policies, procedures, or audit requirements.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To hit the ground running, you’ll have worked in a similar position but, and have the following:

- Demonstrated relevant experience in building maintenance and/or security and surveillance systems, within the facilities, property, or asset management industry.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of security systems and processes would be highly desirable.
- Highly developed communication skills and the confidence to interpret and communicate best practice policy, procedure, risk management strategies, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to form relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and gain their cooperation for the achievement of positive outcomes for the service.
