**About the opportunity**
Based in Granville, reporting to the Territory Manager, the Facility Manager is responsible for managing the strategic and tactical operations of the Gateway processing facilities and contribute to the development of achieving consistently high standards of service to our customers. This role reports to the Head of NSW Processing and has end to end responsibility for the people, safety, performance & service outcomes of the facility.
**What you’ll deliver with us**
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our processing operations. You’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused outcomes, while driving continuous improvement and innovation across the facility. You’ll also be instrumental in achieving our One Network vision and ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our customers and communities.
**You’ll also**
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of processing equipment and automation to improve throughput and reduce delays.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to identify and resolve emerging operational issues across the facility.
- Engage, influence, and secure active support from key stakeholders—including facility managers, team members, union representatives, government bodies, and community partners—to meet service obligations.
- Manage the facility’s annual operating budget and drive initiatives that improve efficiency and meet financial and service performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational standards while fostering a customer-centric culture across the network.
- Establish and champion a safety leadership culture, ensuring all safety activities are effectively managed and our people return home safely each day.
**About you**
You’re a seasoned operational leader with experience in complex, high-volume environments. You bring a calm, decisive approach to high-pressure situations, and a proven ability to lead cultural and workplace change. Your collaborative style, stakeholder engagement skills, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement make you a trusted and effective leader.
**You will also have**:
- Proven leadership in logistics operations, with experience managing complex processing environments and resource allocation in large organisations with seasonal fluctuations.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, OH&S standards, and relevant government and legislative requirements.
- A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with the ability to lead and embed workplace change initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen, including expertise in financial management, budget oversight, and strategies to grow profitable revenue and market share.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners, including unions and government agencies, with strong industrial relations and negotiation skills.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management.
